MIDTERM #4

PROGRESS SHOTS:
Here's my image

adding some text...

dropping a shadow behind the text

applying a canvas over the final image

In this assignment we created a greeting card based on our cloud party avatar. I first went into avatar and took a screenshot of my avatar looking straight ahead. I then took this screenshot and opened it up in GIMP and added text in which I dropped a shadow for added effect. In the background I applied a canvas to give it a cool papery feel. This is a midterm exercise from the Immersive Education course that I am taking at Boston College. The course is called Discovering Computer Graphics. Class 5, Assignment 1

Here is my infograph on the iED K12 that conveys some information about this initiative. I first talked about what the iED K12 summit are all about before presenting some information on past keynote speakers. I then put down some registration information for those who are interested as well as a means to stay in touch with iED on social media. Lastly, there are my references and pictures that I took at the iED Boston Summit 2013. I used piktochart to create this assignment.

                                PROGRESS SHOTS:

Here's my roof with a texture applied

Here's the base of my house using the "brick" pattern

I used a rectangle for my door and used a wood grain to fill it in

Here I added my sun under shapes

THE FINISHED PRODUCT:

In MIDTERM #10 we learned how to create a basic house in MS Word. MS Word, as Professor Walsh taught us, utilizes vector graphics in which we've been practicing with. In order to build this house I used a triangle, several rectangles, and a sun. This
