In MIDTERM #9 we learned how to create a chart. This chart is the course outline that we've been following so far. We learned how to use different shapes such as arrows, rectangles, stars, and more. This is a midterm exercise from the Immersive Education course that I am taking at Boston College. The course is called Discovering Computer Graphics. TEXTURE MAPPING

The below screenshots were taken in cloud party and demonstrate solid color vs texture wrapping in 3D objects. This work is for my course, Discovering Computer Graphics, which is part of the Immersive Education initiative.

Here's an example of solid color. Take a look at the orange jugs, thanks AJ for the help on this one!

Class 5, Assignment 4

In assignment 4 we were asked to paste this image of a pair of tanks to our blog. The image shows the difference between 3D objects that are texture mapped and those that are flat shaded/colored. And you can see that in number two, which is texture mapped, is much more realistic and "pops" from the screen.

In this assignment we created animated gif's and learned to properly layer. In the first part we used a penguin picture in order to layer it behind some text. In the second part we used the text circle tool which generated our name in a circle. After that we copied this text, added a new white layer, pasted the text onto the new layer and then used the rotate tool. We did this process three more times and then saved as an animated gif. MIDTERM #5

In this assignment we saved the monster.jpg files onto our computers and then saved the file into a progressive jpg as well as a an interlaced png. To achieve this, I opened up GIMP and used the "export" feature to save them into the desired formats and then under advanced options I check the progressive and interlaced options respectively.
